Program/Conference Manager

Job description

CivilityMS is seeking a Program Manager with conference/event management background.

Leads the project and retains overall responsibility for performance including cost, schedule, deliverables, and contractual compliance. Provides the interface to the customer and other project leaders. Works with the customer lead and CivilityMS project manager on multiple projects. Identifies, acquires, and utilizes company resources to achieve project objectives. Establishes priorities for task assignments and completion. Ensures quality and productivity standards are maintained while meeting project/client deadlines and budget constraints. Serves as the client liaison on all project matters. Performs a QA role to ensure timely delivery of all specified deliverables, and compliance with government regulations, codes, and company policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing oversight, planning, and logistical support services for three advisory councils. The Program Manager must adhere to federal regulations, protocols and issues affecting federal conference/event management. Working in tandem with the customer and CivilityMS project manager, the Program Manager will perform the duties common to all events as described below:

  • Submit monthly progress report that includes: 1) accomplishments, 2) barriers, 3) proposed resolution of barriers.
  • Oversight of project manager and program analyst, as well as any additional consultants contracted.
  • Provide on-site event management, staffing, and support during each event. (a) Ensure necessary A/V equipment is set up and functioning.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic and work experience. Seven or more years of program management and conference management experience to include budget creation/management, virtual/hybrid conference management.

  • Report to other stakeholders, confirming the successful completion of given projects.
  • Show support to the program and the mandated team. This support must be expressed through action.
  • Identify opportunities that are worth channeling team efforts to help in the achievement of a series of projects.
  • Working closely with the communication and management team to increase program awareness among the different stakeholders.
  • Resolve issues that may arise among team members and strategic issues that may need the attention of senior managers.


Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic and work experience. Seven or more years of program management and conference management experience to include budget creation/management, virtual/hybrid conference management.
